Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Look where we live! We getting some nice weather we can go to our beaches and our water ways. We have a super lake, Lake Mohave that is open and for now only passholders are welcome but we know that will change. Our fishing is going well this time of year. We have stripped bass and some catfish that are more than happy to go home with you. For boaters and our shore anglers watch  our water levels. Marianna Nielson was fishing from the Katherine Landing fishing pier using anchovies. She landed a nice channel cat at an even 8 pounds and 26 and 1/2 inches. I have been hearing that the Arizona side near the dam and down deep was also producing a few stripers in the 3 to 7 pound range .

The Colorado river below the Davis dam is controlled by the Davis dam it has 5 generating stations. Just as the oceans are controlled by the moon our tides are by demand of both power needs and agriculture very little goes towards recreation. hope this helps some to understand the rise and fall of our tides. Anyway back to fishing our local angler Tommy Nguyen land his stripers by the Davis dam fishing on the Nevada side this area has a very nice park and some great fishing spots. I have heard that Community Park is still producing a few stripers and some great spots down river here along the shores of the beautiful Colorado river.

With some many out of work and the stay in except for our parks we are blessed. Our park crews are doing a super job on maintaining  and keeping the areas accessible. Not much word from the Topock Marsh as of yet but soon as that also is a great area for large mouth bass and catfish. our panfish have yet to start with the bigger ones near the gorge.

Hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in with that catch to share the story. thanks for all of your support.
