Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Hope all is well, we are getting some great fishing in our area's waters. The Topock Marsh area has been producing a few Largemouth Bass along with an occasional striper or catfish.

Our local angler Dayton Grant was fishing off of his boat and landed a nice 3.42-pound Largemouth bBass at 19 and 1/4 inches. Dayton was using a Z-mans chatter bait to boat this fish. The marsh area is also a hunter's paradise for water fowl this time of year. Do check with Arizona game and Fish on the opening and closing of the season.

We have some Community Park news and the striper action has been super in that area. Some of our larger fish have been landed in this area by using various swim and glide baits. Our local angler Mike Gabrielson did just that and landed a nice 33- and 1/2-inch striper at 16.7 pounds. Mike was fishing from shore to make this catch. I did ask him to let me know what this fish was feeding on and sure enough it had 5 small fish inside. I kind of guessed as it was a little heavy for this length and had a big belly. Our shore line here along the Colorado river below the Davis dam has some great spots to catch fish and just to enjoy the day.

Up on Lake Mohave the action is mixed there are reports of striper action near the dam and in the coves above the power lines. I have been hearing of anglers having success trolling with some big swim baits or using topwater plugs in the coves.

Hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and the story with it. Mostly thanks so much for all of the support.
