Riviera Marina Fishing Report

This week, our local angler Chris Williams landed a beautiful 14.98-pound striper measuring 36.5 inches in length. While slightly underweight for its size, it’s still an impressive catch! Chris was fishing from shore at Rotary Park using a swimbait to reel in this striper.

Reports are coming in that larger stripers are making their way in, and a variety of lures have been producing solid results. One angler from the Willow Valley area mentioned that kayak fishing has been excellent. He had success using a Whopper Plopper, catching a few stripers and the occasional smallmouth bass.

Fishing conditions below Davis Dam along the Colorado River have been great. Up on Lake Mohave, trolling continues to be the most effective method for landing larger stripers. However, anchovies in the coves have been very productive for those looking to catch numbers.

We also have an exciting event coming up! The local Moose Lodge #1860 is hosting a fishing clinic for local and visiting youth, with full permits and permissions in place. The event will feature performances, booths, and hopefully some food vendors—we're reaching out to local food trucks to join. Early registration should begin soon, and we’ll share more updates as they come in.

Thanks again for your continued support—and don’t forget to come in and share your catches with us!
