Riviera Marina Fishing Report

We have some great river fishing going on right now below Davis Dam along the shores of the Colorado River. Our local angler, Steve Beasley, landed a nice striper while fishing at Community Park. This striper weighed in at 11.46 pounds and measured 32 inches in length. He hooked into the fish while casting a swimbait in a shad pattern from shore.

Several anglers are having similar luck in the Community Park area, landing quality stripers. This spot is also producing limits of rainbow trout, which are brought in by the Willow Beach Hatchery. Due to the low water releases from Davis Dam, it’s currently the only stocking site the hatchery truck can reach.

Our striper anglers are doing a great job helping protect the trout by catching these larger stripers. Great work to all our local anglers—both trout and striper fishermen.

Up on Lake Mohave, trolling with glide baits or a white bucktail jig seems to be the ticket for landing a few stripers. Anglers are having to search around a bit, but the area near and in the basin has proven to be productive.

Hope this helps for now. We look forward to seeing you and hearing about your catch. Thanks for the support!

Now go catch a fish!
