We are having a great striper season along the shores of the Colorado River below Davis Dam. Local angler Kenan Guleryuz is showing off an impressive catch after fishing from shore in the Community Park area using a swimbait. He landed a beautiful 25.02-pound striper measuring 40 inches—an outstanding fish!
We also recently had a trout plant at Community Park, which is great news for our trout anglers. Shore anglers have been having good success, with many catching their limit of five trout. A variety of spinners and trout jigs have been working well.
The wind has been brutal lately and has kept most boats from leaving port on Lake Mohave. Shore fishing on the lake has been slow due to the conditions, with not much to offer right now. Once again, the shore fishing near Community Park has been producing the best action in our area, so we recommend giving it a try and keeping us posted on your results.
We hope this helps for now, and we look forward to seeing you stop in to share your catch. As always, thank you for the continued support.
Now go catch a fish!
