Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Our local angler, Steve Beasley, was out fishing up on Lake Mohave and landed a great striper while trolling near the power lines with a striper jig similar to a bucktail jig. The fish weighed in at 12.92 pounds and measured 35 inches in length. Nice catch, especially during a crowded weekend!
The river is still producing some nice catches, mostly in the 2- to 4-pound range. Anchovies are your best bet right now. Use cut-up pieces and secure the chunk to your hook with bait-wrap thread to keep it in place.
Up on Lake Mohave, trolling has been producing the best results. Anchovies are also producing some of the smaller stripers in the coves on the Arizona side.
As we move into a bit cooler weather, the striper bite along the Colorado River should start picking up. Shore fishing is a good choice right now, especially with water levels on the low side for boating.
We hope everyone stays safe, and we hope to see you come in and share your catch with us. Thanks, as always, for all your support!
